Over the last few years Arizona real estate has been one of the most desirable types of property to purchase. It's no wonder since the climate in the central portion of the state is mild relatively speaking. Of course northern AZ and the Grand Canyon area can get pretty cold while the southern portion of the state gets very hot down in Phoenix and the Tucson areas, however that's exactly why the city of Prescot tends to be very attractive when it comes to people who are looking for a wonderful place to live, raise a family, retire or even purchase a property just for the purposes of having an awesome getaway during certain parts of the year. It's not uncommon for people who live down in Phoenix to live in their home here in Prescot during the summer, while others who live where it's very cold in the winter stay in town during the winter so they don't have to deal with the extreme weather conditions in their primary residency city.

With an elevation of approximately 5,500' and being bordered by a national forest, the city has a certain wilderness feeling to it. If you are in the downtown area, you can be in the forest within 10 minutes, and approximately 4 miles. Thumb Butte is a very prominent landmark that edges the western side of the town and can be seen from throughout the entire city.

Corporations and businesses have begun to move into the city over the past few years. Recently a major military aircraft government contractor signed papers to set up a facility in the area over the next year or two. Ace Hardware is opening a new distribution center and WalMart has two SuperCenters that have been built a few years back. More and more big name brand stores have opened locations in the area as the population and economy have both seen healthy growth over these past few years. The good news is that this town is not crowded, it's far from it, yet the amenities of the big city exist, and those who have found their way here from the big cities don't feel as if they are in the middle of nowhere.

The schools in the city offer the parents of students quality education both in the public and private sectors. At this time there are over 44 different schools available for students from kindergarden through college. We have an airport, and a sports arena has been recently been built in the immediate area.
